Bacon-colby Lasagna Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 (14 1/2 oz) can sliced tomatoes, undrained .
  • 4 c shredded colby cheese .
  • 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce .
  • 1 lb ground beef .
  • 12 lasagna noodles, cooked & drained .
  • 1 medium onion, sliced .
  • 1 tbsp sugar .
  • 1 lb sliced bacon, cooked & crumbled .
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Directions
  • Step #1 In a Dutch oven, cook beef & onions over med-heat/flame until meat is no longer pink; drain.
  • Step #2 Stir in the bacon, tomato sauce, tomatoes, sugar & salt; cook this until heated through.
  • Step #3 Spread 1/2 c meat sauce in a greased 13-inch x 9-inch x 2-inch baking dish.
  • Step #4 Layer four noodles, some of the meat sauce & some of the cheese in dish.
  • Step #5 Repeat layers twice.
  • Step #6 Cover up & bake this at 350 degrees for 40 mins.
  • Step #7 Uncover; bake 5-10 mins longer or until bubbly.
  • Step #8 Let stand 15 mins before cutting.
