Hershey's " Perfectly Chocolate" Chocolate Cake - Glut Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 tsps baking powder .
  • 3 c powdered sugar .
  • 1 1/2 tsps baking soda .
  • 1/3 c milk .
  • 2/3 c hershey's cocoa .
  • 1 c milk .
  • 2 c sugar .
  • 2 c rice flour .
  • perfectly chocolate chocolate frosting .
  • 1/2 c butter or margarine .
  • 1 c boiling water .
  • 3/4 c hershey's cocoa .
  • flour ingredients (use 1 3/4 c for this recipe) .
  • 2/3 c potato starch .
  • 1/3 c tapioca flour .
  • 1 tsp salt .
  • 2 eggs .
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract .
  • 2 tsps vanilla extract .
  • 1/2 c vegetable oil

Directions
  • Step #1 Heat oven to 350°.
  • Step #2 Grease & flour two 9 inches round baking pans.
  • Step #3 Combine dry ingredients in large bowl.
  • Step #4 Add eggs, milk, oil & vanilla.
  • Step #5 Beat on medium speed 2 mins.
  • Step #6 Stir in boiling water (batter will be thin).
  • Step #7 Pour into pans.
  • Step #8 Bake 30-35 mins or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
  • Step #9 Cool 10 mins.
  • Step #10 Remove from pans to wire racks.
  • Step #11 Cool completely.
  • Step #12 Frost with "Perfectly Chocolate" Chocolate Frosting.
  • Step #13 To make Frosting melt butter & stir in the cocoa.
  • Step #14 Alternately add powdered sugar & milk, beating on med speed to spreading consistency.
  • Step #15 Add more milk if needed & stir in the vanilla makes about 2 Cups.
  • Step #16 I followed this recipe exactly & did not add xanthan gum & it was not only easy to do but again the results are fantastic.
  • Step #17 I think I have found the cake I will use for birthdays, special occasions, etc.
  • Step #18 No one & I mean no one will be able to tell it is gf! :).
