Chocolate Bowls Recipe

Ingredients
  • 10 oz finely sliced dark chocolate, divided .
  • 8-10 small balloons, filled with air

Directions
  • Step #1 Place 5 oz of the chocolate in a heatproof bowl set over a pan of simmering water.
  • Step #2 Stir until completely melted.
  • Step #3 Remove from heat & stir in the the remaining chocolate until thoroughly smooth.
  • Step #4 Spoon 1/2 tsp melted chocolate onto prepared pan to form a small disk.
  • Step #5 Dip the balloon into the disk of chocolate, coating about a third of the balloon.
  • Step #6 Place the dipped end of the balloon on the chocolate disk.
  • Step #7 Repeat with remaining chocolate & balloons.
  • Step #8 Place in the refrigerator to set, about 30 mins.
  • Step #9 In order to release the air from the balloon, pinch the balloon just under the knot & cut a small hole in the surface between fingers & knot.
  • Step #10 Very slowly release air; if air is released too quickly, the bowls may break.
  • Step #11 Carefully peel the deflated balloons from the chocolate bowls.
