Chocolate Cherry Cakeii Recipe

Ingredients
  • 5 tbsps butter
  • 1/3 c milk
  • 1 (18.25 oz) package devil's food cake mix
  • 1 (21 oz) can cherry pie filling
  • 1 tsp almond extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c white sugar
  • 1 c semisweet chocolate chips

Directions
  • Step #1 Heat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Step #2 Grease a 9 x 13 inch pan.
  • Step #3 In a large bowl, cherry pie filling, mix cake mix, almond extract, & 2 eggs by hand; stir until well mixed.
  • Step #4 Pour batter into prepared pan.
  • Step #5 Bake for 25 to 30 mins, or until it tests done.
  • Step #6 Cool.
  • Step #7 In a small saucepan, mix sugar, butter or margarine, & milk.
  • Step #8 Boil, stirring constantly, for 2 mins.
  • Step #9 Remove from heat, & stir in the chocolate chips until smooth.
  • Step #10 Immediately pour over partially cooled cake.
