Eggnog French Toast Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 tsps rum extract .
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg .
  • 24 slices French bread (3/4 inch thick) .
  • confectioners' sugar .
  • 2 tsps vanilla extract .
  • 3 c half-and-half cream .
  • 1/3 c sugar .
  • 9 eggs

Directions
  • Step #1 Arrange the bread slices in two well-greased 15-inch by 10-inch by 1-inch baking pans.
  • Step #2 In a large bowl, beat the eggs, cream, sugar, extracts & nutmeg until mixed; pour over bread.
  • Step #3 Turn bread to coat.
  • Step #4 Cover up & put in the fridge overnight.
  • Step #5 Remove from the refrigerator 30 mins before baking.
  • Step #6 Bake, uncovered, at 500 degrees for 12-15 mins or until lightly browned, turning bread once.
  • Step #7 Dust with confectioners' sugar.
