Crabmeat Rollups Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 c sesame seeds
  • 1 lb butter, softened
  • 2 (6 oz) cans crab meat, drained
  • 20 slices white sandwich bread
  • 1/2 lb processed cheese, shredded

Directions
  • Step #1 Melt cheese & 8 oz butter or margarine in a double boiler.
  • Step #2 Cool & stir in the crabmeat.
  • Step #3 Stir until spreadable.
  • Step #4 (Butter & cheese will separate, but will mix after stirring).
  • Step #5 Cut crusts off of the bread slices & roll each piece of bread flat with rolling pin.
  • Step #6 Spread crab mixture onto each flattened bread slice.
  • Step #7 Roll the bread up around the crab spread.
  • Step #8 In a medium size sauce pan, melt the remaining 8 oz butter or margarine.
  • Step #9 Dip rolls in it & then roll in sesame seeds.
  • Step #10 Place seam sides down in a shallow baking dish or cookie sheet & freeze.
  • Step #11 After rolls are frozen, cover with foil.
  • Step #12 When ready to serve, partially thaw the roll ups, & cut each roll this into fourths.
  • Step #13 Broil the roll ups until browned, about 3 to 5 mins.
