Crunchy Tuna Cat Treats Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp sliced fresh parsley .
  • 3/4 c rye flour (normal wholemeal flour is fine) .
  • 210 g tuna in vegetable oil .
  • water

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 180°C.
  • Step #2 Mix tuna, rye & parsely together well, breaking up tuna peices so they are soft & mushy.
  • Step #3 Add water slowly, as is needed to make a firm dough that is easy to mould into a small shape.
  • Step #4 Roll a tsp-sized amount of the dough between your palms, creating a small round ball.
  • Step #5 Flatten the ball so it becomes disc-shaped.
  • Step #6 Repeat process until all mixture is used, placing each biscuit disc onto a lightly greased oven tray.
  • Step #7 Bake in your 180C oven for 20 mins, or until golden brown.
  • Step #8 Turn oven off, though leave tray in until oven has completely cooled.
  • Step #9 (This will help to dry out the biscuits further, & therefore help the treats keep for longer).
  • Step #10 When biscuits have cooled completely, they are ready to serve.
  • Step #11 Handy as an occasional treat, and/or an addition to your pet's everyday dry food.
  • Step #12 Store treats in an air-tight container in the pantry.
