Ingredients
  • 1 c butter
  • 1 c white sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 c evaporated milk
  • 1 (3 oz) package cherry flavored gelatin
  • 3/4 c maraschino cherries, halved
  • 2 c semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 pinch salt

Directions
  • Step #1 Butter an 8x8 inch dish.
  • Step #2 In a medium saucepan over med-heat/flame, mix milk, sugar & salt.
  • Step #3 Bring to a boil & stir in the gelatin.
  • Step #4 Boil 4 mins.
  • Step #5 Remove from heat & stir in the butter, chocolate chips, vanilla & cherries.
  • Step #6 Pour into prepared pan.
  • Step #7 Chill 2 hrs before serving.
  • Step #8 .
