Melt In Your Mouth Sugar Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
  • frosting recipe .
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda .
  • food coloring (optional) .
  • 1/2 c sour cream .
  • 2 1/2 c flour .
  • 2 tbsps butter, melted .
  • 1/2 tsp salt .
  • 1/4 tsp almond extract (PURE if you can) .
  • 1 c sugar .
  • 1 egg .
  • 1 c unsalted butter (softened) .
  • 2 c powdered sugar .
  • 2 tbsps cream (or milk or half & half, but cream works the best) .
  • 3/4 tsp vanilla (PURE if you can)

Directions
  • Step #1 Cream together butter, sugar & egg.
  • Step #2 Add the remaining ingrediants one at a time.
  • Step #3 Mix well after each one is added.
  • Step #4 Batter will be sticky.
  • Step #5 "Pour" onto a large piece of plastic wrap.
  • Step #6 Wrap tightly, & chill in fridge for at least 2 hrs.
  • Step #7 Once chilled, roll out onto floured surface to desired thickness (about 1/4in.
  • Step #8 ) Cut with cookie cutters.
  • Step #9 Place onto UNgreased cookie sheet & bake this at 350 for 8-10min.
  • Step #10 Will be blonde on top, bottom should be slightly golden on edges.
  • Step #11 Let cool on cooling rack.
  • Step #12 Then frost as desired.
  • Step #13 These freeze well (even iced)! Enjoy! ____________________________________________.
  • Step #14 Directions for Icing.
  • Step #15 Mix butter, sugar & almond until mixd.
  • Step #16 Add a 1 tsps at a time of warm cream until spreadably consistancy.
  • Step #17 Usually will need all 2 TBS.
