Paneer Jhalfraezi (cottage Cheese Curry) Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder .
  • 400F g cottage cheese (paneer, 2 inch pieces) .
  • 2 inches piece gingerroot (cut into thin strips) .
  • 1 1/2 tbsps vinegar .
  • 2 whole dried red chilies (halved) .
  • 2 tsps cumin seeds .
  • 2 medium sized tomatoes .
  • 3 tbsps oil .
  • 1/4 c fresh coriander leaves (sliced) .
  • 2 medium sized green capsicum .
  • 1-2 green chilies (sliced) .
  • salt .
  • 1 1/2 tsps red chili powder .
  • 2 medium sized onions .
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

Directions
  • Step #1 Cut tomatoes & capsicums into two inch long slices with one-fourth inch width.
  • Step #2 Separate the different layers of onions.
  • Step #3 Heat oil in a kadai.
  • Step #4 Add cumin seeds.
  • Step #5 When they change colour add red chillies.
  • Step #6 Add ginger julienne, green chillies & onions.
  • Step #7 Sauté for half a min.
  • Step #8 Add red chilli powder & turmeric powder.
  • Step #9 Stir well & add capsicum.
  • Step #10 Cook for two to three mins.
  • Step #11 Add paneer fingers & toss.
  • Step #12 Add salt & vinegar & cook for two to three mins.
  • Step #13 Stir in tomato pieces & garam masala powder.
  • Step #14 Serve hot garnished with sliced coriander leaves.
