Breakfast Quiche With Bacon Recipe

Ingredients
  • 12 slices bacon, cooked & crumbled .
  • 9 inches unbaked pastry shells .
  • 1/4 tsp sugar .
  • 1/2 c shredded monterey jack pepper cheese or monterey jack cheese .
  • 2 c heavy whipping cream (no substitutes) .
  • 1/2 c shredded sharp cheddar cheese .
  • 4 eggs .
  • 3/4 tsp salt .
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper .
  • 1/3 c onions, finely sliced

Directions
  • Step #1 Line unpricked pastry shell with a double thickness of heavy-duty foil wrap.
  • Step #2 Bake at 450 degrees for 5 mins; remove foil wrap.
  • Step #3 Bake for 5 mins longer; remove this from the oven & let cool.
  • Step #4 Reduce heat to 425F degrees.
  • Step #5 Sprinkle top bacon, cheeses & onion over the crust.
  • Step #6 In bowl, cream, beat eggs, salt, sugar & cayenne; pour this into crust.
  • Step #7 Bake for 15 mins.
  • Step #8 Reduce heat to 300F degrees; bake 30 mins longer or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
