Tuna Burgers With Wasabi Mayonnaise Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 large egg white .
  • 2 tbsps peeled & minced gingerroot .
  • 3 tbsps sliced pickled ginger (sushi) .
  • 1 1/2 tsps prepared wasabi .
  • 1 lb tuna, sliced into small pieces ('ahi) .
  • 4 sesame bagels, halved & toasted .
  • salt & pepper .
  • 1 (3 oz) package daikon sprouts .
  • 1 small cucumber .
  • 3 tbsps fat-free mayonnaise .
  • 3 green onions, sliced

Directions
  • Step #1 Using a vegetable peeler, slice the cucumber into thin ribbons lengthwise.
  • Step #2 Set aside.
  • Step #3 In a bowl, green onions, mix the 'ahi, ginger & egg white.
  • Step #4 Spice up with salt & pepper.
  • Step #5 Shape into 4 patties.
  • Step #6 In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, pickled ginger & wasabi.
  • Step #7 Spread the mayo onto the toasted bagel halves.
  • Step #8 In a large nonstick pan, spray with nonstick cooking spray & cook the 'ahi patties until browned on one side, about 2 mins.
  • Step #9 Turn & repeat on the other side.
  • Step #10 The inside can be still rare.
  • Step #11 Place the patties on the bagel halves & top this with the cucumber & sprouts.
