Chocolate Chip Tea Biscuits Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/4 c butter, softened .
  • 1 tbsp baking powder .
  • 2 c all-purpose flour .
  • 3/4 c dark chocolate chips (adjust to your preference) .
  • 1/2 tsp salt .
  • 2 tbsps white sugar, plus extra .
  • 3/4 c whole milk .
  • white sugar, for sprinkling

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat the oven to 425°F.
  • Step #2 Mix the flour, baking powder, salt & sugar together briefly on lowest setting in the lovely stainless steel mixing bowl.
  • Step #3 Add the softened butter & mix together until coarse & crumbly, then add the chocolate chips.
  • Step #4 Keeping the mixer on slowish speed, slowly add milk until the dough just begins to come together.
  • Step #5 Remove the dough, & pat out into 2 discs, slicing each one into eight (8) biscuits.
  • Step #6 Sprinkle top with extra sugar & arrange the biscuits on a baking stone.
  • Step #7 Bake for ~12-15 mins, or until the tops have become slightly golden.
