Chicken With Marsala And Capers Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 c flour .
  • salt & pepper .
  • 1 tbsp horseradish (less if you like) .
  • 1 medium onion, sliced .
  • 1 tbsp butter .
  • 2 tbsps olive oil .
  • 1 tbsp capers .
  • 1-1 1/2 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts .
  • 1 c marsala wine

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Step #2 Heat butter & olive oil in pan over medium to medium high heat.
  • Step #3 Mix flour, salt & pepper on a plate or deep dish- set aside.
  • Step #4 Pound chicken breast to flatten.
  • Step #5 Dredge chicken in flour mixture.
  • Step #6 Brown chicken in olive oil & butter.
  • Step #7 Once brown (about 5 mins on each side) remove chicken & keep covered.
  • Step #8 Add sliced onion to pan & brown- it doesn't have to be completely tender- about 3-4 mins Add Marsala wine, horseradish & capers.
  • Step #9 Stir to mix.
  • Step #10 If you don't have a pan that is oven safe pour pan ingredients in oven safe dish.
  • Step #11 Place chicken on top of sauce & cover.
  • Step #12 Cook about 30 min I made up some pasta & put the sauce over the pasta, you could also use rice.
