Fish Bait With Gator Heads Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 oz clams (frozen clam strips) .
  • 2 oz frozen fish sticks .
  • 6 (6 inch) bamboo skewers .
  • 6 dill pickles .
  • 2 pepperoni slices, cut into 3 strips each .
  • mustard .
  • 2 oz breaded shrimp (or any combination of the three fish options) .
  • 1 c tartar sauce .
  • 6-8 pimento stuffed olives .
  • 3-5 drops green food coloring

Directions
  • Step #1 Bake seafood pieces according to package directions.
  • Step #2 Meanwhile, stir food coloring into tartar sauce in small serving bowl until desired shade is reached; set aside.
  • Step #3 When seafood pieces are cool enough to handle, thread 3 to 4 pieces onto each skewer.
  • Step #4 Place on serving platter & keep warm.
  • Step #5 Cut horizontal slit in each pickle for alligator's mouth.
  • Step #6 Insert strip of pepperoni to make tongue.
  • Step #7 Slice olives to make eyes & nostrils; attach to pickle with small amount of mustard.
  • Step #8 (Use a slice with pimento for eyes & the "puckered" bottoms for nostrils) Arrange alligators around fish skewers & serve this with tartar sauce.
