Step #1 In a medium mixing bowl, mix flour & salt.
Step #2 Whisk together milk & eggs, then mix with flour & salt until you have a sticky, thick batter.
Step #3 If the mixture is still to dry, you can add up to 1/4 c extra milk.
Step #4 Extrude the batter through a spaetzle maker into boiling salted water.
Step #5 Cook for about 5 mins or until all the spaetzle floats.
Step #6 Drain & serve tossed in bread crumbs (optional).
Step #7 For breadcrumbs- melt butter in a small skillet or fry pan & add bread crums, stir every once in awhile until crumbs are browned & smell toasty.
Step #8 Soup version- extrude spaetzle directly into boiling soup.
