Roasted Garlic Hummus Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 head garlic .
  • 1/4 c plain yogurt .
  • 2 tbsps lemon juice .
  • hot pepper sauce .
  • 1 (19 oz) can chickpeas .
  • 1 tsp cumin .
  • 1/2 tsp ground pepper (I use less) .
  • salt .
  • 2 tsps sesame oil

Directions
  • Step #1 Cut top 1/4 off head off garlic; remove any loose papery skin.
  • Step #2 Place garlic cut side down on foil wrap in baking pan.
  • Step #3 Roast in 375 oven for 45 min.
  • Step #4 Let cool 10 min.
  • Step #5 Place chickpeas in food processor/blender & chop.
  • Step #6 Add lemon juice, cumin, pepper, oil, & garlic squeezed out of skins.
  • Step #7 Puree until smooth, adding yogurt.
  • Step #8 Add salt & hot pepper sauce to taste.
