Chocolate Cream Puff Dessert Recipe

Ingredients
  • Pastry .
  • 8 tbsps extra-light vegetable oil spread (I use Blue Bonnet margarine) .
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened .
  • 1 c water .
  • 1 (8 oz) package french vanilla cool whip .
  • Filling .
  • 3 1/2 c milk .
  • 1 c all-purpose flour .
  • 2 (3 1/2 oz) packages instant vanilla pudding .
  • 4 large eggs

Directions
  • Step #1 For the pastry:.
  • Step #2 In a small sauce pan, bring the vegetable oil spread & water to a boil.
  • Step #3 Remove from heat.
  • Step #4 Blend in flour, beating to a ball.
  • Step #5 Add eggs (one at a time) & beat well.
  • Step #6 Spread mixture into a greased 9x13 inch glass baking dish.
  • Step #7 Bake in a pre-heated oven at 400F degrees for 40 mins.
  • Step #8 Set aside to cool completely.
  • Step #9 For the filling:.
  • Step #10 Mix pudding, milk & cream cheese together.
  • Step #11 Spread over the cooled crust.
  • Step #12 Top with whipped topping.
  • Step #13 Drizzle chocolate syrup over the top.
  • Step #14 Refrigerate for at least 1 hr before serving (does not keep well overnight).
