Chocolate Chip Coffee Cake Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 c all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 c sliced pecans
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c sugar, divided
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 c butter or margarine, softened
  • 1/4 c milk
  • 1 c semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened

Directions
  • Step #1 In a mixing bowl, cream the butter, cream cheese & 1-1/4 c of sugar.
  • Step #2 Beat in eggs & vanilla.
  • Step #3 Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda & salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk.
  • Step #4 Stir in chocolate chips.
  • Step #5 Pour into a greased 9-in.
  • Step #6 springform pan.
  • Step #7 Combine the pecans, cinnamon & remaining sugar; sprinkle it over batter.
  • Step #8 Bake at 350 degrees F for 50-55 mins or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
  • Step #9 Cool for 15 mins.
  • Step #10 Carefully run a knife around edge of pan to loosen.
  • Step #11 Remove sides of pan.
  • Step #12 Cool completely before cutting.
