Ingredients
2 c basmati rice .
1 medium red bell pepper, de-seeded & finely sliced .
3-4 stalks green onions, finely sliced .
1 medium yellow bell pepper, de-seeded & finely sliced .
1 small onion, finely sliced .
20-25 jasmine fresh edible flowers .
salt .
1 tbsp oil
Directions
Step #1 Soak rice in 4 c of water for 30 mins & then drain.
Step #2 Boil 5 c of water with salt.
Step #3 Fold in the rice.
Step #4 After sometime, mix jasmine flowers in a round sachet & add to the water.
Step #5 Let the flowers soak in the water containing the rice for a few mins(i.
Step #6 e, until the rice is half cooked).
Step #7 When the rice is half cooked, remove the sachet of flowers, drain the water & keep the rice aside.
Step #8 Now heat oil in a non-stick pan.
Step #9 Toss in the onion & saute for a few mins.
Step #10 Add both bell peppers & saute for a few mins.
Step #11 Fold in the rice & carefully stir this to mix.
Step #12 Add salt & spring onion greens.
Step #13 Mix well, cover & cook till the rice is fully cooked but the grains are separate.
Step #14 Serve hot.
