Chicken And Bacon Chowder Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 c sliced carrots
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 2 c half-and-half cream
  • 3 c chicken broth
  • 2 (10.75 oz) cans condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
  • 1/2 c sliced onion
  • 3 c sliced cooked chicken
  • 4 c sliced peeled potatoes
  • 3 c sliced celery
  • 1 lb sliced bacon

Directions
  • Step #1 In a soup kettle or Dutch oven, cook bacon until crisp.
  • Step #2 Drain, reserving 2 tbsps drippings.
  • Step #3 Crumble bacon & set aside.
  • Step #4 Saute celery & onion in drippings until tender.
  • Step #5 Add potatoes, broth & carrots; bring to a boil.
  • Step #6 Reduce heat; cover & let simmer for 20 mins or until vegetables are tender.
  • Step #7 Stir in remaining ingredients & heat through.
