Empanadillas De Carne Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 jalapeno, minced .
  • 3 tbsps stuffed olives, sliced .
  • 1/4 lb ground lean pork .
  • 1/4 c onions, minced .
  • 1/4 tsp paprika .
  • 1/2 c tomato sauce .
  • 2 eggs, hard cooked & finely sliced .
  • 2 egg whites .
  • 1 tbsp butter .
  • 1/4 lb lean ground beef .
  • 1 minced garlic clove .
  • 1 tbsp chili powder .
  • 1/4 tsp cumin .
  • 1/4 tsp pepper .
  • 3 tbsps raisins, seedless .
  • 1/4 tsp salt .
  • 2 tbsps olive oil .
  • 2 puff pastry sheets, pre-rolled

Directions
  • Step #1 In a skillet heat the oils & brown the meats.
  • Step #2 Add the seasonings, onion, garlic & jalapeno.
  • Step #3 Saute until tender.
  • Step #4 Drain any excess fat.
  • Step #5 Add the remaining ingredients & let simmer until very thick.
  • Step #6 Cool to about room temp.
  • Step #7 Preheat oven to 425°F.
  • Step #8 Roll the pastery dough out on a floured surface.
  • Step #9 Cut into 2" rounds.
  • Step #10 Place 1 tbsp of meat mixture on each round.
  • Step #11 Fold the round in half & crimp the edges with a fork to seal.
  • Step #12 Brush the pastery with egg whites.
  • Step #13 Place on a greased baking sheet & bake for 15 to 20 mins, or until golden brown.
