No-bake Peanut Butter Power Bars Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/3 c reduced-fat creamy peanut butter .
  • canola oil cooking spray .
  • 1 tbsp butter or canola margarine .
  • 1 c Rice Krispies (or other puffed rice cereal) .
  • 1 c low-fat granola .
  • 2 c miniature marshmallows, lightly packed .
  • 1/3 c ground golden flax seeds (golden flax works better in this recipe)

Directions
  • Step #1 Spray an 8x8 baking pan with cooking spray.
  • Step #2 In a medium-sized microwave safe bowl, mircowave the butter, peanut butter, & marshmallows on high for 30 seconds.
  • Step #3 Stir to mix.
  • Step #4 If not yet melted, microwave again briefly.
  • Step #5 Add granola, puffed rice & flaxseed, & mix.
  • Step #6 Spread in prepared pan, flattening it with waxed paper.
  • Step #7 Cool completely.
  • Step #8 Cut into 8 bars.
