Cherry Tiramisu Cups Recipe

Ingredients
  • powdered chocolate milk mix .
  • 5 ml lemon juice .
  • 15 ml Kahlua .
  • 75 ml water .
  • 250 g mascarpone cheese .
  • 2 tsps white sugar .
  • To serve .
  • 1/4 c white sugar .
  • Cherry Sauce .
  • 20 fresh cherries, pitted & sliced .
  • 20 ml Amaretto .
  • 2 fresh cherries .
  • Coffee Cream .
  • 4-5 shortbread, fingers crumbled .
  • 30 ml strong brewed coffee .
  • Biscuit Crumbs

Directions
  • Step #1 To make the cherry sauce, bring the water to a boil in a small saucepan.
  • Step #2 Add as much sugar as will dissolve into the water, then add the Amaretto & lemon juice.
  • Step #3 Just before it starts to boil, add the cherries, & stir it over a high heat until the liquid takes on the color of the cherries.
  • Step #4 Reduce the heat, & let simmer until most of the liquid has evaporated.
  • Step #5 Place the mixture in a small bowl, cover tightly, & place this in the fridge.
  • Step #6 To make the coffee cream, & coffee in a bowl, simply mix the cheese, Kahlua, & stir until the mixture is uniform in color.
  • Step #7 Add sugar to taste, if necessary.
  • Step #8 Once the cherry sauce has cooled, with the biscuit crumbs on the bottom, cherry sauce in the middle, arrange the three components in layers in a martini glass, & coffee cream on top.
  • Step #9 Refridgerate until the coffee cream is firm.
  • Step #10 Decorate with powdered sugar, & place a cherry on top.
