Cinnamon Plum Jam Recipe

Ingredients
  • 7 c sugar
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 5 c coarsely ground peeled plums
  • 1/2 c water
  • 1/3 c lemon juice
  • 1 (1.75 oz) package powdered fruit pectin

Directions
  • Step #1 In a large kettle, mix sugars, plums, water & lemon juice.
  • Step #2 Bring to a full rolling boil, stirring constantly.
  • Step #3 Stir in pectin; return to a full rolling boil.
  • Step #4 Boil 1 min, stirring constantly.
  • Step #5 Remove from the heat; stir in the cinnamon.
  • Step #6 Skim off foam.
  • Step #7 Pour hot jam into hot jars, leaving 1/4-in.
  • Step #8 headspace.
  • Step #9 Adjust caps.
  • Step #10 Process for 10 mins in a boiling-water bath.
