Pork Papers ( Mu Pan ) Recipe

Ingredients
  • 30 g carrots .
  • 100 g pork (like chops or tenderloin, 3.5 oz) .
  • 1 tsp sugar .
  • 3 garlic cloves .
  • 1 tsp salt .
  • oil (for deep frying) .
  • 20 g onions .
  • 8 spring roll wrappers .
  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce

Directions
  • Step #1 Clean the pork & chop it into pieces (you will mix it later anyway).
  • Step #2 Peel the carrot & garlic & slice the onion.
  • Step #3 Put all the sliced vegetables & pork together into a mixer, add salt, sugar, light soy sauce & mix until smooth.
  • Step #4 Take 1 spring roll wrapper & cut diagonally into 2 equal sized triangles.
  • Step #5 Spread the mixture thinly & evenly onto each triangle.
  • Step #6 Add a top triangle of spring roll paper (to form a sandwich) seal the edges, & repeat until all the filling is used up.
  • Step #7 Heat the oil ready to deep fry.
  • Step #8 Drop the triangles one by one into the oil until they're crispy - approximately 1 min.
  • Step #9 Remove & drain.
