Aromatic Herbed Bread Filled With Prosciutto Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3 1/2 c bread flour .
  • 1 tbsp olive oil .
  • 1 tsp fast rising yeast .
  • 1/2 tsp salt .
  • 2-4 oz prosciutto, sliced very thin .
  • 1/2 tbsp milk .
  • 1 tbsp herbs (I use Recipe # 206538) .
  • Glaze .
  • 1 c warm water .
  • 1 tsp sugar

Directions
  • Step #1 Place all the bread ingredients except prosciutto in the bread machine pan in the order suggested by the manufacturer.
  • Step #2 Select dough cycle & start machine.
  • Step #3 At end of cycle take dough out & punch dough down & flatten; roll to a rectangle.
  • Step #4 place prosciutto over in a single layer then roll up as a jelly roll.
  • Step #5 Score top.
  • Step #6 Place loaves on greased cookie sheet.
  • Step #7 Cover up; let rise until double, about 40 hr.
  • Step #8 Preheat oven to 400F degrees F.
  • Step #9 Brush loaf with milk.
  • Step #10 Sprinkle top with herbs.
  • Step #11 Bake until a hollow sound when tapped, about 25 mins; cool on wire racks.
