Chicken Salad Pie Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 9 in. unbaked pastry shell .
  • salt .
  • 1 c sour cream .
  • 2 c cooked chicken, sliced .
  • 1/2 c celery, sliced .
  • pepper .
  • 2/3 c mayonnaise .
  • 1/2 c grapes, halved .
  • 2/3 c cheddar cheese, shredded .
  • 1/2 c pineapple tidbits, drained .
  • 1/2 c slivered almonds, toasted

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Step #2 Prick bottom & sides of pie crust with fork.
  • Step #3 Press 1/2 the cheese into bottom of crust.
  • Step #4 Bake about 10 mins or until lightly browned.
  • Step #5 Cool.
  • Step #6 Combine sour cream, mayonnaise & salt & pepper to taste in a bowl.
  • Step #7 Stir in chicken, almonds, pineapple, celery & grapes.
  • Step #8 Pour into cooled pie crust.
  • Step #9 Sprinkle top remainder of cheese over top & put in the fridge at least 1 hr before cutting & serving.
