Cool Taco Salad Recipe

Step #1 Preheat oven to 400°F.
Step #2 In a medium skillet, brown ground beef over med-heat/flame until no longer pink.
Step #3 Drain off excess fat.
Step #4 Add water & 1 tsp taco seasoning to the beef & let simmer for 3 mins.
Step #5 Remove from heat & set aside to cool slightly.
Step #6 Cut each pita into 8 wedges & place on baking sheet.
Step #7 Bake for about 7 mins or until lightly browned.
Step #8 While the beef is cooling, cream cheese, mix the remaining taco seasoning, sour cream & salsa in a small bowl.
Step #9 Mix well.
Step #10 Divide & spread this mixture evenly on 2 small plates.
Step #11 Spoon a portion of the beef over the sour cream mixture, & top each with half the lettuce, tomato & cheddar cheese.
Step #12 Place 8 baked pita wedges on each plate.
