Vietnamese Peanut Sauce - Dipping Sauce For Fresh Spring Rolls Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp peanut oil .
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced .
  • 1/4 c roasted peanuts, ground, for garnish .
  • 3/4 tsp sugar .
  • 1/2 c chicken broth or water .
  • 2 tbsps peanut butter (or more) .
  • 1/4 c hoisin sauce .
  • 2 tbsps tomato paste .
  • 1 tsp chili paste or sriracha sauce

Directions
  • Step #1 Heat the oil & add the garlic, chili paste, & tomato paste.
  • Step #2 Fry until garlic is golden brown.
  • Step #3 Add the broth, peanut butter, sugar, & hoisin sauce, & whisk to dissolve the peanut butter.
  • Step #4 Bring to a boil.
  • Step #5 Reduce the heat & let simmer for 3 mins.
  • Step #6 Garnish with the ground peanuts.
