Cheesy Sun Crisps Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 c all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 c quick-cooking oats
  • 2 c shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 c grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 c butter or margarine, softened
  • 3 tbsps water
  • 2/3 c salted sunflower kernels

Directions
  • Step #1 In a mixing bowl, mix Cheddar & Parmesan cheeses, butter & water until well mixed.
  • Step #2 Combine flour & salt; add to cheese mixture.
  • Step #3 Stir in oats & sunflower seeds.
  • Step #4 Knead dough until it holds together.
  • Step #5 Shape into a 12-in.
  • Step #6 roll.
  • Step #7 Cover with plastic wrap; chill for 4 hrs or overnight.
  • Step #8 Allow to stand at about room temp for 10 mins before cutting into 1/8-in.
  • Step #9 slices.
  • Step #10 Place on greased foil-lined baking sheets.
  • Step #11 Bake at 400F degrees F for 8 to 10 mins or until edges are golden.
  • Step #12 Slide crackers & foil off baking sheets to wire racks to cool.
