Lobster Delight Recipe

Ingredients
  • oil, as required .
  • 2 tsps red chili powder .
  • salt .
  • 1 medium lobster .
  • 2 tsps lime juice .
  • 20 curry leaves, washed & torn .
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder .
  • 2 tsps ginger-garlic paste .
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Directions
  • Step #1 Fill half a large pot with water & bring to a boil.
  • Step #2 Add some salt to it & the lobster making sure the fish is completely submerged.
  • Step #3 Cook the fish for 5 mins for the first kg & 2 extra mins for every extra kg.
  • Step #4 If the antenna pulls out easily, the fish is cooked.
  • Step #5 A properly cooked lobster meat is creamy white & the shells are bright red.
  • Step #6 Allow the fish to cool.
  • Step #7 Remove lobster meat from the shell.
  • Step #8 Cut the tail in half lengthwise.
  • Step #9 Keep shell intact & carefully remove the meat from it.
  • Step #10 Mix the masala powders, salt, ginger-garlic paste & lime juice in a bowl.
  • Step #11 Add pepper powder & mix.
  • Step #12 Add the lobster pieces to it & mix.
  • Step #13 Marinate for 30 mins.
  • Step #14 Heat oil in a pan.
  • Step #15 Add curry leaves & marinated lobster pieces.
  • Step #16 Shallow fry on both sides till cooked.
  • Step #17 Dip the tail into the marinade & fry till it is lightly browned.
  • Step #18 Let the fried tail dry on paper towels.
  • Step #19 Now stuff the fried meat into the shell & garnish with fresh veggies.
  • Step #20 Serve hot with rotis.
