Chocolate Cherry Cakei Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/3 c milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c white sugar
  • 1 c semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp almond extract
  • 5 tbsps butter
  • 1 (18.25 oz) package chocolate cake mix
  • 1 (21 oz) can cherry pie filling

Directions
  • Step #1 Mix with a spoon (not an electric mixer) the cake mix, eggs, cherry pie filling, & almond extract until moistened.
  • Step #2 Spread into 9 x 13-in greased pan.
  • Step #3 Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 25 to 30 mins.
  • Step #4 To Make Frosting: Bring sugar, butter, & milk to a boil.
  • Step #5 Boil for 1 min.
  • Step #6 Add chocolate chips; stir until chips are melted.
  • Step #7 Pour frosting over warm cake.
  • Step #8 Cool.
