Step #1 In a double boiler, melt caramels in the water then dip 1/2 of each pretzel into the hot caramel.
Step #2 Place on a greased sheet of foil wrap to cool.
Step #3 Melt chocolate chips & shortening over low heat/flame.
Step #4 Then dip caramel ends into the chocolate.
Step #5 Sprinkle top with nuts.
Step #6 Return to foil wrap to cool.
Step #7 Poster notes that you can use white chocolate, almond chocolate or other flavors.
Step #8 You can also use sprinkles in place of nuts.
