Christmas Tree Spritz Recipe

Ingredients

candy sprinkles (optional) .
1/4 tsp baking powder .
1 tsp extract (vanilla, almond, etc.) .
3/4 c sugar .
1 egg .
1 c shortening .
food coloring (optional) .
colored crystal sugar (optional) .
2 1/4 c sifted all-purpose flour .
1/8 tsp salt

Directions

Step #1 Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Step #2 Cream shortening, adding sugar slowly.
Step #3 Add egg, sifted dry ingredients, flavoring, & a few drops of food coloring, if using.
Step #4 Mix well.
Step #5 Fill a cookie press & form cookies onto ungreased cookie sheets, Decorate as desired.
Step #6 Bake for 10-12 mins.
