Delicious Angel Hair In Tomato, Tuna And Olive Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 (6 oz) can solid white tuna packed in water, drained
  • 1/2 c grated Parmesan cheese for topping
  • 2 1/2 tbsps olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, sliced
  • freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tsp dried basil
  • 3/4 c sliced onion
  • 1/4 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can whole peeled tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 (4.25 oz) can black olives, drained & halved
  • 1 (16 oz) package uncooked angel hair pasta
  • 1 (28 oz) can tomato puree

Directions
  • Step #1 Heat olive oil in a skillet over med-heat/flame.
  • Step #2 Stir in onion & garlic, & cook this until tender.
  • Step #3 Mix in tuna & peeled tomatoes; cook this until heated through.
  • Step #4 Mix in olives.
  • Step #5 Spice up with basil, oregano & pepper.
  • Step #6 Cook & stir 5 mins.
  • Step #7 Stir in tomato puree.
  • Step #8 Cover, reduce heat to low & let simmer 30 mins, stirring every once in awhile.
  • Step #9 Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil.
  • Step #10 Place angel hair pasta in pot & cook 4 mins, or until al dente.
  • Step #11 Serve topped with the sauce & sprinkled with Parmesan cheese.
