Ingredients
  • 1 (9 inch) angel food cake .
  • 1 (12 oz) container frozen whipped topping, thawed .
  • 1 c white sugar .
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract .
  • 2 (21 oz) cans cherry pie filling .
  • 1/2 c all-purpose flour .
  • 2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese

Directions
  • Step #1 In a saucepan, mix cherries, sugar & flour.
  • Step #2 Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring constantly.
  • Step #3 Continue to boil for 5 mins.
  • Step #4 Remove from heat & set aside to cool.
  • Step #5 In a large bowl, beat cream cheese & vanilla until smooth.
  • Step #6 fold in whipped topping.
  • Step #7 Pour half of the cream cheese mixture into a 9x12 inch glass dish.
  • Step #8 Crumble the angel food cake & sprinkle evenly over the top of cream cheese mixture in dish.
  • Step #9 Spread remaining cream cheese mixture over cake.
  • Step #10 Cover up top this with cherry mixture.
  • Step #11 Refrigerate for at least 5 hrs.
