Step #1
Mix together the flour, baking powder & baking soda.
Step #2 Layer ingredients in order given in a quart size '' wide mouth '' canning jar.
Step #3 Press each layer firmly in place making sure you really pack it down before you add the flour mixture, it will be a tight fit but it will work.
Step #4 Attach instructions to the jar: Chocolate Covered Raisin Cookies 1.
Step #5 Empty cookie mix into large mixing bowl.
Step #6 Use your hands to thoroughly mix mix.

Step #8 Add 1/2 c butter or margarine, softened at about room temp.
Step #9 DO NOT USE DIET MARGARINE Add 1 egg, slightly beaten & 1 tsp vanilla 3.
Step #10 Mix until completely mixed.
Step #11 You will need to finish mixing with your hands.
Step #12 4.
Step #13 Shape into walnut sized balls.
Step #14 Place 2 inches apart on a parchment lined cookie sheet.
Step #15 DO NOT USE WAXED PAPER.
Step #16 5.
Step #17 Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) 13 to 15 mins until tops are very lightly browned.
Step #18 Cool 5 mins on baking sheet.
Step #19 Remove cookies to racks to finish cooling.
