Cinnamon Apple Jelly Recipe

Ingredients
  • 7 c unsweetened bottled apple juice
  • 1 c red-hot candies
  • 9 c sugar
  • 2 tsps butter (no substitutes)
  • 1 (1.75 oz) package powdered fruit pectin

Directions
  • Step #1 Place the apple juice in a large kettle.
  • Step #2 Stir in pectin & butter.
  • Step #3 Bring to a full rolling boil over high heat, stirring constantly.
  • Step #4 Stir in candies until dissolved.
  • Step #5 Stir in sugar; return to a full rolling boil.
  • Step #6 Boil for 1 min, stirring constantly.
  • Step #7 Remove from the heat; skim off foam.
  • Step #8 Pour hot mixture into hot sterilized jars, leaving 1/4-in.
  • Step #9 headspace.
  • Step #10 Adjust caps.
  • Step #11 Process for 5 mins in a boiling-water bath.
