Vegan, Wheat-free Brownies Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 1/4 c sweet rice flour .
  • 1 c semi-sweet chocolate chips .
  • 1 tsp vanilla .
  • 1 tsp salt .
  • vegan butter, for greasing pans .
  • 3/4 c cocoa powder .
  • 1 c water .
  • 1 c white sugar .
  • 1 c brown sugar .
  • 1/2 c vegan butter, melted plus .
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 350.
  • Step #2 Heat 1 c water & 1/4 c sweet rice flour in a saucepan until it forms a paste.
  • Step #3 Set aside to cool.
  • Step #4 Mix remaining c of Sweet Rice Flour, baking powder, cocoa powder & salt.
  • Step #5 Stir in vanilla & melted vegan butter.
  • Step #6 Stir in sugar & Flour/water paste, then chocolate chips.
  • Step #7 Pour into greased pan & bake approx 45min*.
  • Step #8 My oven is from the 1940's so it's always an adventure when it comes to baking times.
