Ingredients

1 c molasses .
1 tsp cloves .
1/2 c shortening .
1 c sugar .
2 tsps cinnamon .
2 eggs .
1 tsp salt .
2 tsps baking soda .
4 c flour

Directions

Step #1 First 4 ingredients:.
Step #2 Cream sugar & shortening, then add molasses & eggs.
Step #3 Beat together.
Step #4 Last 5 ingredients:.
Step #5 Add dry ingredients to creamed ingredients.
Step #6 Beat well.
Step #7 Drop by tspfuls onto a greased cookie sheet.
Step #8 Bake at 300, for 15 mins.
Step #9 Cool on cookie rack.
Step #10 Store in a sealed plastic container.
