24 Hour Omelet Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 tsp dry mustard .
  • 8 oz cream cheese .
  • 3/4 lb longhorn cheese, grated .
  • 8 eggs .
  • 1 tbsp chives .
  • 1/2 tsp pepper .
  • 2 c milk .
  • 1/2 tsp salt .
  • 1 loaf jewish egg bread, crust removed (can also use Sheepherders, Sourdough, or any other hard bread) .
  • 1/2 c butter, melted .
  • 1 dash cayenne pepper

Directions
  • Step #1 Chunk the bread & place this in a well greased casserole dish.
  • Step #2 Pour melted butter over the bread.
  • Step #3 Sprinkle top the cheeses over top, creamcheese first.
  • Step #4 Beat the remaining ingredients together & pour over bread.
  • Step #5 Refrigerate, covered, overnight.
  • Step #6 Bake, covered, at 325F for 60-75 mins.
  • Step #7 Uncover for the last 10 mins.
  • Step #8 Variations: Sprinkle top cooked, crumbled bacon or sausage on top before pouring the egg mixture.
  • Step #9 Can also add favorite veggies.
