Steamed Fennel With Dill Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch .
  • 1 tsp fresh dill or 1/8 tsp dried dill .
  • 1/2 c evaporated milk .
  • 1/2 c chicken broth (vegetable is fine too) .
  • 2 fennel bulbs (1 lb)

Directions
  • Step #1 Trim fennel & discard woody stems.
  • Step #2 Cut into thin slices.
  • Step #3 Steam, covered about 12 mins until crisp but, tender.
  • Step #4 For sauce mix broth & dill & bring to a boil.
  • Step #5 Stir together cold milk & cornstarch & add to broth.
  • Step #6 Cook & sitr until thick.
  • Step #7 Serve pouring sauce over fennel.
  • Step #8 Garnish with dill.
  • Step #9 For Vegetarian do not use Chicken broth.
  • Step #10 Use the vegetable broth option.
