Caramel Nut Popcorn Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3/4 c sugar .
  • 125 g butter .
  • 1/2 c popcorn .
  • 1/2 c peanuts, crushed .
  • 2 tbsps honey .
  • 5 tbsps vegetable oil

Directions
  • Step #1 Cover up the bottom of a big saucepan with vegetable oil, heat slowly.
  • Step #2 (when you place a piece of corn in the oil & it spins, it's ready).
  • Step #3 Add the popping corn.
  • Step #4 Cover up & shake saucepan regularly until popping sound ceases.
  • Step #5 Empty popcorn into a large bowl & discard any un-popped kernels.
  • Step #6 In a small saucepan, stir honey, sugar & butter over a low flame until the sugar has dissolved.
  • Step #7 Then boil uncovered for 5 mins.
  • Step #8 remove this from heat, mix peanuts through & pour over popcorn then mix to coat.
  • Step #9 Spread over a large, greased tray to cool.
  • Step #10 Break into approx 15 large round chunks.
  • Step #11 Store in airtight container.
