Candy Cane Blossoms Recipe

Ingredients
  • 48 Hershey candy cane kisses .
  • 2 tbsps milk .
  • 2 c all-purpose flour .
  • 1 egg .
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda .
  • 1/2 c butter, softened .
  • 1 c granulated sugar .
  • 1 1/2 tsps vanilla extract .
  • colored sugar crystals .
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Directions
  • Step #1 Heat oven to 350°F Remove wrappers from candies.
  • Step #2 Beat butter, granulated sugar, egg & vanilla in large bowl until well mixed.
  • Step #3 Stir together flour, baking soda & salt; add alternately with milk to butter mixture, beating until well mixed.
  • Step #4 Shape dough into 1-inch balls.
  • Step #5 Roll in red sugar, granulated sugar, powdered sugar or a combination of any of the sugars.
  • Step #6 Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Step #7 Bake 8 to 10 mins or until edges are lightly browned & cookie is set.
  • Step #8 Remove from oven.
  • Step #9 Press a candy piece into center of each cookie.
  • Step #10 Cool completely.
