Deer Poppers Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 (16 oz) bottle Italian salad dressing
  • 1 lb venison steaks, cubed
  • 10 slices bacon, cut in half
  • toothpicks, soaked in water
  • 1/4 tsp steak seasoning, or to taste
  • 1/2 c jalapeno pepper slices
  • 1/2 tsp Greek seasoning, or to taste

Directions
  • Step #1 Spice up the venison meat with Greek seasoning & steak seasoning.
  • Step #2 Place in a bowl, & pour in enough Italian dressing to cover.
  • Step #3 Refrigerate for at least 2 hrs to marinate, but preferably overnight.
  • Step #4 Preheat the grill for medium heat.
  • Step #5 Drain the marinade from the meat, & discard the marinade.
  • Step #6 Place a slice of jalapeno on top of a piece of meat, then wrap with a slice of bacon.
  • Step #7 Secure with a soaked toothpick.
  • Step #8 Repeat with remaining meat.
  • Step #9 Grill the deer poppers for 15 to 20 mins, turning every once in awhile to brown the bacon.
  • Step #10 Serve & enjoy!.
