Hungarian Goulash Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tsp dry mustard .
  • 2 tsps Hungarian paprika .
  • 2 lbs beef stew meat, cut into 1-inch pieces .
  • 1 dash pepper .
  • 2 tsps salt .
  • 1 tsp vinegar .
  • 2 tbsps flour .
  • 3/4 c ketchup .
  • 1 (16 oz) box rotini noodles .
  • 3 c water .
  • 1 minced garlic clove .
  • 1/3 c worcestershire sauce .
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar .
  • 4 tbsps canola oil .
  • 1 c yellow onions, sliced .
  • 1/4 c water

Directions
  • Step #1 Brown meat in hot oil, add onion & garlic, finish browning.
  • Step #2 Stir in ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, & spices.
  • Step #3 Add 3 c water & let simmer for 2 hrs.
  • Step #4 Thicken liquid with 2 tbsps flour & 1/4 c water.
  • Step #5 You may also use cornstarch if you prefer.
  • Step #6 Also you may need to repeat if it is not thick enough for your tastes.
  • Step #7 Serve over hot cooked noodles.
  • Step #8 Any kind of noodles are fine I like the rotini because it holds the sauce better.
