Step #1 In a large saucepan, mix sugar & corn syrup & bring to a boil, stirring frequently.
Step #2 Boil for 1 min.
Step #3 Remove from heat & mix in peanut butter.
Step #4 Add cornflakes, stirring carefully to coat.
Step #5 Working quickly, drop mixture in 1/4 c lumps, 2" apart onto countertop lined with waxed paper.
Step #6 Using fingers, shape each cookie into rounded mound as necessary.
Step #7 Let stand at room temp for 20-30 mins to set.
Step #8 Store in airtight container at about room temp.
