Slow-cooked Country Style Pork Ribs Recipe

Ingredients
  • 8-10 country-style pork ribs .
  • 1 (15 oz) can white kidney beans, drained .
  • 1 (14 oz) can crushed tomatoes .
  • 4 celery ribs, sliced .
  • 1/2 tsp cumin .
  • salt & pepper .
  • 1 bay leaf .
  • 8 oz white mushrooms, sliced .
  • 1 tsp garlic powder .
  • 1 tbsp olive oil .
  • 1 small white onion, sliced .
  • 1 c frozen peas

Directions
  • Step #1 Method:.
  • Step #2 In a large pot simmer pork ribs in water & 1 tsp of salt for 45 mins, remove and let cool for 15-20 mins.
  • Step #3 Chop onion & saute in olive oil until transluscent (but not brown).
  • Step #4 Put cooked onion in the crockpot.
  • Step #5 Salt & pepper the cooked ribs & place them on the onions in the crock pot.
  • Step #6 Add the crushed tomatoes, peas, sliced celery, sliced mushrooms, & beans.
  • Step #7 Add garlic powder, cumin, & bay leaf.
  • Step #8 Stir carefully.
  • Step #9 Cover up & cook on low for 7-8 hrs or high for 4 to 5 hrs (depending on your slow cooker (aka crockpot)).
