Low Sugar Double Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 large egg .
  • 1 c all-purpose flour .
  • 2 tbsps light butter, softened .
  • 1/8 tsp salt .
  • 2-3 tbsps cocoa (I like Droste) .
  • 6 tbsps butter, softened .
  • 1/4 c Splenda brown sugar mix (equal to 1/2 c brown sugar) .
  • 2 tbsps skim milk .
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda .
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract .
  • 1/2 c sugar-free chocolate chips (If yo can't find the chips, a bar sliced into bits works too)

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 375°.
  • Step #2 In medium bowl, beat butters & brown sugar together until well mixed.
  • Step #3 Add egg & vanilla continuing to beat well.
  • Step #4 Stir together flour, cocoa, baking soda & salt.
  • Step #5 Add dry ingredients alternately with milk to butter mixture.
  • Step #6 Stir in small chocolate chips (or sliced chocolate).
  • Step #7 Drop by tspfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Step #8 Flatten tops of cookies using the bottom of a glass or the palm of your hand.
  • Step #9 (Note these cookies do not spread.
  • Step #10 ) Bake 7 to 9 mins or just until set.
  • Step #11 Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack.
  • Step #12 Cool completely.
